WanSea: Best Air Freight Forwarder Shipping in China

An air freight forwarder in China books air cargo space, prepares shipping documents, arranges customs clearance, manages airport logistics, and tracks your goods from Chinese airports to destinations worldwide. WanSea handles the complete process from pickup to delivery.

Standard air freight takes 3-7 days from major Chinese cities to US airports. Express air shipping can deliver in 1-3 days for urgent cargo. West Coast destinations (Los Angeles, San Francisco) are faster than East Coast cities (New York, Miami).

Air freight from China to Europe typically takes 3-5 days for direct flights to major hubs like Frankfurt, Amsterdam, London, and Paris. Transit times can extend to 5-8 days if transshipment or customs delays occur.

Airlines charge based on whichever is greater: actual weight or volumetric weight. Volumetric weight is calculated as Length x Width x Height (in cm) ÷ 6000. If your cargo is light but bulky, you pay based on volumetric weight.

WanSea arranges air freight from all major Chinese airports including Shanghai Pudong (PVG), Beijing Capital (PEK), Qingdao, Guangzhou Baiyun (CAN), Shenzhen Baoان (SZX), Hong Kong (HKG), Chengdu, and Xiamen

Standard air freight uses scheduled cargo flights and consolidation — cheaper but takes 5-7 days. Express air freight uses priority flights and direct routing — more expensive but delivers in 1-3 days for urgent shipments.

Yes. For smaller shipments under 100 kg, WanSea offers consolidated air freight where your cargo shares space with other shipments to reduce costs. This is also called deferred air freight.

Required documents include commercial invoice, packing list, airway bill (AWB), export declaration, and sometimes certificate of origin or product inspection certificate. WanSea prepares all paperwork for smooth customs clearance.

Yes, but with restrictions. Lithium batteries under 100Wh can ship with proper packaging and documentation. Batteries 100-160Wh require airline approval. Dangerous goods like chemicals, flammable liquids, and batteries over 160Wh have strict limits or are prohibited.

Freight forwarders coordinate transport but don’t usually own the cargo or vehicles. Liability depends on the contract terms and which party was responsible for the loss. WanSea can arrange cargo insurance to protect your shipment’s full value.

Air freight goes through export customs in China and import customs at destination. The process requires proper documentation, HS code classification, and payment of duties and taxes. WanSea coordinates customs clearance on both ends.

Rates depend on cargo weight and volume, shipping route and distance, fuel prices, seasonal demand, airline capacity, type of goods, and service level (standard vs express). Peak seasons can increase rates by 30-50%.

Yes. WanSea offers complete door-to-door service including pickup from your supplier in China, export customs, air transport, destination customs clearance, and final delivery to your warehouse or address.

Choose air freight for urgent shipments, high-value goods, perishable items, small volumes, time-sensitive products, or when you need fast restocking. Air costs more but delivers 5-10 times faster than ocean freight.

Peak periods include Chinese New Year (January-February), e-commerce events (11.11, 12.12), summer export season (June-August), and year-end holidays (November-December). Book early during these times as space gets tight and rates increase.

Yes. WanSea provides tracking through the airway bill (AWB) number. You can monitor your shipment’s location and status from departure to arrival using carrier websites and our tracking system.

Yes. While airlines have limited liability (around $20 per kg), WanSea recommends full cargo insurance to protect high-value goods against loss, damage, or theft during transport.

Prohibited items include explosives, compressed gases, strong acids, radioactive materials, self-heating food, large power banks, matches, lighters, and batteries over 160Wh. Restricted items need special permits and packaging.

Reduce costs by optimizing packaging to lower volumetric weight, consolidating shipments, booking during off-peak times, using standard instead of express service, and shipping larger volumes to get better per-kg rates.
